HSK BLOOD DRIVE - September 4, 2017
HSK DOES IT AGAIN! Nearly 40 members, parents, and friends volunteered to donate the gift of life to our final group drive this year! An amazing 32 pints of blood were collected, as compared to the 24 pints collected in February, and those who could not donate brought goodies. Many did BOTH!! "I am truly humbled and honored to call these selfless people my Ohana!" stated Sensei. "In just one day we were able to help save up to 96 lives! Special thanks go to Senpai Myles Ushio, Darren Iwamoto and David Takashima for their time on the apheresis machine."
A reminder that you will be eligible to donate again in 8 weeks. Those who were unable to donate this time, please try again as soon as possible. It may not be as much fun without your Ohana, but you can take pride knowing that you are helping someone in need. Please designate your donation for Hawaii Shotokan Karate, and let Sensei know if you are successful so that your name can be added to our list of donors. YOU ARE AWESOME, HSK!
