This year's kata tourney was a HUGE success!!  Over 30 HSK members accepted the challenge to test their skills against others.  They competed in two events:  1) colored belts (white/yellow, blue/green, purple/brown) and 2) aged-groups (8 years and younger, 9 to 12 years, adults). Our talented Senpai staff coached and guided our students for about two months.  The results were striking, as each member came through with flying colors!

Sensei also reminded students that winning or losing is NOT the goal. Participation, and trying your BEST is the key to success!  Putting yourself in unfamiliar and uncomfortable situations increases your confidence and stimulates your curiosity!!!
