This is the second of three Tekki katas in the Shotokan system. The kibadachi (horse/straddle leg stance) is primarily used for movements left or right, much like a crab moves. Basically, the battle situation in these katas place the defender with his back to a wall or structure, with opponents attacking from the front and sides.

Sekiguchi Sensei performed Tekki Nidan in 2020, at the age of 72.
